The first iPhone application for use by a REALTOR® association can now be downloaded and installed by members of the California Association of REALTORS® from the iTunes App Store.
Once you’ve got the app downloaded and installed you’ll want to head over to www.car.org/mycar to validate your membership and get your special unlock code. You’ll then take the code and enter it in the “User Profile” section under REALTOR® ID.
One you’ve got it fully unlocked you’ll be able to:
- See market data for twenty-one regions in California,
- See current loan information
- Read highlights from C.A.R’s Market Matters newsletter
- Find association resources
- Search for license renewal and continuing education courses
- Read hot item news alerts
Application updates will be distributed through iTunes. iPhones and iTouches will automatically notify users when such updates are available for installation.

BlackBerry® and other browser-based phones can locate installation instructions for a companion version at www.car.org/mycar.

Please delete the version of the app that was installed on your iPhone or iTouch in June and install this final release.

searched for it and can’t find it. used REBS, california associaiton of realtors and it does not appear in the search results. how do we find it?
If you click on the text “iTunes App Store” in the in blog post it’ll open up iTunes and take you right to it.
If you’re looking for it through your iPhone or iTouch you have to use the term My C.A.R. and then scroll down through a few. It just got posted on the App Store yesterday so it may take a bit for it to get up in the rankings making searching for it much easier.
Yeah, gotta search by “My C.A.R.”, then scroll down (i had to go down about 30-40 apps to see it), download it, click on it, then go to user profile, add you info, then go to this page http://www.car.org/tools/mycar/members/ to get the realtor ID. Put that in, then save. Should work from there.
Thank you! I found it and got it installed and working! What a fantastic program!! I think letting everyone know how to search for it on their iPhone may be helpful. Otherwise you won’t find it easily.
If you do a search for “rebs” it comes righ to the top. Not exactly ideal but saves time!
